Delores G. Nelson

Delores G. Nelson, age 74, of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Columbus, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was born in Brown County, Indiana on April 5, 1937 to parents Virgil Greathouse and Blanche (Ping) Greathouse.

She loved life and traveling all around the world with her family. Delores enjoyed playing board games especially Bingo and piano, cooking for her family, and decorating for the holidays. She was an avid gardener and collector of music boxes. Delores loved working with special needs children.

Delores, always with a smile on her face, will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She is survived by his daughter, Gigi Sachtleben and husband Wayne of Austin, Texas; sons, Ronal Nelson and wife Kimberly of Lockhart, Texas and Carl Nelson and wife Sherrie of Kyle, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Nelson, Nicholas Nelson, Zachary Nelson, Heidi Sachtleben, Gary Sachtleben and Spencer Nelson; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

The family will receive guests for a time of visitation on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Westergeren officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Granger, Texas.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gary Sachtleben, Zachary Nelson, Michael Nelson, Nicholas Nelson, Spencer Nelson and Ryan Nelson.
