

On March 5, 1944, Dorothy married Douglas A Ramsel in Prattville, Alabama then embarked with her husband on a journey in the USAF. They traveled to many places during his service in the Air Force. After the birth of their daughters, Dorothy V. and Mary Ann, and once Douglas retired in 1960, the family made their move to Austin, TX in 1963. Douglas has since passed away in 2007, and Dorothy decided in 2013 to move to Georgetown to be closer to family.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Lulu Kalinowsky, and great grandson Joshua Hindman.
Left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her daughters, Dorothy Ramsel Hindman of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Mary Ann Ramsel of Georgetown; grandchildren, Tylette Matl Grady (Steven), Butch Matl, Andrea Matl, Tammye Matl Pedracine (Chris), Buck Hindman (Amy), David Hindman, Michelle Hindman, Michael Hindman, Marc Hindman (Frieda), Beau Hindman (Leala), and Devin Hernandez; great grandchildren, Tyler Matl, Anna Matl, Chance Grady, Jordyn Grady, Christopher Pedracine, Zachary Hindman, Dakota Hindman, Nicole Reine, Emily West, Michael Hindman, Leslie Hindman, Thiery Hindman, Nolan Hindman, James Hamali, John Hernandez, and Jeffrey Hernandez. Dorothy also leaves two great great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Services will be held privately amongst the family.
A special thanks to the Delaney at Georgetown for looking after her, especially Raquel who she adored. Additionally, Tranquility Hospice, Jennifer and Laurie and the many others who took care of her.
