

Elizabeth retired from her secretarial position with Chandler-Evans Corporation in Connecticut, and moved to El Paso, Texas to be near her family. In 2004 she moved to Georgetown, Texas and lived in the Wesleyan Retirement Home and later Wesleyan Nursing Home. The family is grateful to the staff and volunteers for years of loving and compassionate care.
She is survived by son, William Schanz and wife Ceferina of Issaquah, Washington; daughters, Dorothy Peca and husband Peter of El Paso, Texas, and Marion Ratcliff and husband Jim of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, Kristen Burnham, Samuel Peca, and Meredith Peca; and great grandson, Ethan Mayne.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna Lorencik, her husband Robert W. Schanz and granddaughter Caroline Burnham.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Wednesday, the 24th of April 2013, at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. A mass celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held on Thursday, the 25th of April 2013 at ten o’clock in the morning at St. Helen Catholic Church with Father Jairo Sandoval officiating. Burial will be in Unionville, Connecticut at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesleyan Benevolent Fund or St. Helen Catholic Church.
