

Henry A. Jimenez, also known as “Enrique”, was born on July 15, 1917 in Pleasanton, Texas. He is the son of Abudio L. and Josefina Alvarado Jimenez. Henry was born and raised in Pleasanton. As he was growing up, he moved to Round Rock, Texas during the fall of 1938. He worked at the Lime Company for a short duration and met Victoria Perez. Henry and Victoria dated a while, and then got married on September 18, 1938. Henry and Victoria continued to travel around Central Texas, they decided to return to Georgetown to start their family.
Henry worked at Camp Hood, what is now known as Fort Hood. He also worked at the Georgetown airport and Southwestern University on different construction jobs. In 1945, he was hired to work for the City of Georgetown. For 37 years Henry was a machine operator. He made good friends with the people he worked for and his fellow co-workers.
Henry has surely lived a full and prosperous life and has influenced many people. He attended and was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Victoria of 32 years, two brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by two sisters; one brother; four daughters and two sons, Stella J. Carbajal of Casa Grande, Arizona, Virginia DeJesus and husband Frank of Belton, Texas, Gloria J. Maes and husband Dakota of Boise, Idaho, Henry P. Jimenez of Boise, Idaho, Josephina Hvatum and husband Chris of Seattle, Washington, and Alexander Jimenez and wife Alicia of Austin, Texas; 21 grandkids, 40 great-grandkids, 25 great great-grandkids and one great great great-grandchild.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown with Father Robert Becker officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Israel Martinez, Reyes Martinez, Jessie Mendoza, Rick Jimenez, Nick Martinez and Daniel Martinez.
