

Ethan Scott Hughes, born February 23, 2005 in Bethesda, Maryland to Scott Douglas and Stacy Lynne Phillips Hughes, died with his father, early Sunday morning, June 20, 2010, in a tragic lake accident. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, Texas 78628. A service of Thanksgiving and Celebration will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 4010 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628. Ethan will be laid to rest with his father at the IOOF Cemetery, Georgetown, Texas. Ethan was baptized in May 2005 as a young baby at Salem Lutheran Church in Barclay, Texas. He was known for his creativity and his love for the outdoors. Ethan loved to play with his Nerf gun, to build things with his legos and he loved to draw. Ethan enjoyed being outside as much as he could, he liked catching bugs and frogs and picking flowers for his mommy. He had just recently made the crowning achievement of being able to ride his bike without training wheels. His mommy and daddy were very proud of this for him. Ethan joined and played Flag Football this past season with the “Cowboys”. Ethan is preceded in death by his father, Scott Douglas Hughes; his maternal great grandfather, Rudolph Mikeska; his paternal great grandparents, George and Shirley Wright; his paternal great grandmother, Audrey Hughes; and his great uncle, Walter Hughes; and his cousin, Dillon Thane Schwartz. Ethan leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Stacy Lynne Hughes; his twin sisters, Ella and Eva Hughes; his maternal grandparents, Keith and Mildred Phillips; his paternal grandparents, George and Beverley Hughes; his aunts and uncles, Jana Phillips, Peter Hughes and his wife Samantha and Cheryl Madden and her husband Russell; his great uncle, Charlie and Marianne Hughes; his great aunt, Lorraine Emery-Wright and her husband, Reverend Steve; his first cousin, Michael Schwartz; along with many other cousins and loving family members and friends. In his young life, Ethan had touched the hearts of many and will be truly missed. Ethan had a special love for his little sisters, Ella and Eva.
