Born in Leander, TX at the family home place to Mason Mitchell Davis and Mamie Jewel Noble Davis. She graduated Austin High School with aspirations of becoming an interior decorator. However, while working at Schoonerville Drive Inn, she met her husband to be, Phillip H. Keith in January, 1942 and they were married July 31, 1942 just before he shipped out to serve in WW II.
She lived in Williamson County for most of her life, about 40 years of it on the ranch near Leander. She was well known, highly regarded, and respected throughout the county, a pillar of community service. She was a housewife, banker, mother and cattle woman (affectionately calling the animals her “critters”), never afraid to lend a hand and fearless to the end. Although she moved her residence to the San Angelo area about 8 years ago, she always held the Williamson County connection and its residents near and dear to her heart. She made a lasting impression on the lives of many people across our great nation and will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.
Geneva is survived by son Barry Lee Keith and wife Dawna of Midland, TX, daughter Karen Keith Gonzales and husband Rudy of Temple, TX, grandsons Barry Scott Keith of Medford, OR, and Joshua Mason McGinty and wife Ellen of Chicago, IL and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Phil, and sons Randy Phil Keith and Sherrill Lynn Keith.
