

Isabel Sanchez Camacho was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on Friday January 14, 2022. She fought a hard battle with covid pneumonia. She was born to Guadalupe and Olivia Sanchez on July 8, 1951 in Cuidad Victoria Tamaulipas, Mexico. After graduating from Elgin high school in 1971, she married her best friend, Vicente Camacho. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage last August. They had three daughters, Michelle Meinke, Emily Clear, and Kimberly Camacho.
Isabel loved spending time in her garden, crafting, painting, and of course spoiling her grandchildren. She was a hairstylist for forty years. She was loved by many in our community, whether they were relatives, previous clients of the salon, acquaintances, friends, or neighbors. She had a heart of gold, she genuinely cared for others just like she did for her own family.
Isabel is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Raymundo Sanchez and sister-in-law Nancy Sanchez, brother Ascencion (Ace) Sanchez; her sister Irma Diaz and brother in-law Thomas Diaz. She is survived in death by her husband, Vicente; daughter Michelle and son-in-law Steve Meinke; Emily and son-in-law Jake Clear; Kimberly and future son-in-law Mario Padilla; grandchildren Matthew, Kaleb, Arianna, and Alexis Meinke; Kaylin & Gracee Clear; Jeremiah & Alexander Padilla; sister Amelia Paiz and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved dogs Mookie and Olaf.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all of the ER & ICU staff at Seton Williamson Hospital for their outstanding care of their mother. During these chaotic times, the staff joyfully encouraged, supported, and lovingly cared for their mother as if she was their own relative.
A visitation with the family will be held at the Gabriels Funeral Chapel between 5-7 pm on Friday January 21, 2022. The funeral services will take place the following morning, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 9am also at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, she will be laid to rest at IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown.
