James "Jim" Stehlik

Jim Stehlik was born in Chicago, Illinois April 19, 1928 to parents James and Matilda Stehlik and was the brother of Charles, William and Robert. He passed away June 24, 2015 in Austin, Texas. Jim married Virginia Rosalie Karwoski and last February they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Jim’s children are daughters Mary Worley (Larry) and Nancy Stehlik de Amador (Mauro) and son Fr. Tom Stehlik, CM, Pastor of St. Joseph Church New Orleans. His grandchildren are Laurelea, Claire, Rachael, Mauro Jr., and Monica.

Jim is a previous resident of Sun City, Georgetown and active member of the Meadows at Buckner Villa Austin, Texas. He was a parishioner of St. Helen Catholic Church Georgetown, Texas where he was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, swimming, and he was an avid Cubs fan.

The family is thankful for the 87 years of life Jim had and also for all who cared for him at the Meadows, Campbell and Buckner Hospice.

A time of visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Helen Catholic Church from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will begin at 2:30 pm with interment to follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
