Jean S. Lloyd

Jean is survived by her loving husband of sixty-one years, Chester Louis Lloyd; her much loved four children, Chester Gary Lloyd and wife Cherry, Evelyn Huggins and husband John, Mark Louis Lloyd and wife Elizabeth and Cary Curt Lloyd and wife Dana; her seven grandchildren and their spouses, Mark Abell Lloyd, Brad Louis Lloyd, Travis Curt Lloyd, Charles Ashley Lloyd, Catrina Nicole Lloyd, Luke Columicille Lloyd and Caitlyn Elizabeth Lloyd; and four great-grandchildren, Trenton Michael Lloyd, David Chester Lloyd, Jamison Lewis Lloyd and Casey Thomas Lloyd.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings Rose, Agnes, Florence, Mildred, Teresa and twin brother John.

Born January 24, 1930 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Jean was raised in Roselle, New Jersey. Jean married Chet in Union, New Jersey in 1951 before the couple moved to Akron, Ohio. In 1958, the couple moved to Houston, Texas where they raised their family. In 1997, the couple moved to Sun City to enjoy retirement.

Jean will be missed by her family, to whom she was fully devoted, as well as her many friends and neighbors. While here on earth she enjoyed her home, cooking and travel as well as fellowship with her close friends in Sun City, especially those she played poker and canasta with on a very routine basis.

Jean was fully content in Christ’s promise that she would be going to her eternal heavenly home prepared for her, by her Lord and Savior.

Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. to7:00 P.M. on Sunday, 21st of April, 2013 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with a service immediately following at 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held on Monday, 22nd of April, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Forest Park West Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
