Jerry served in the United States Navy and worked for American Airlines for 35 years before retiring. He loved to fish and just sit outside watching people go by. He enjoyed feeding the birds, visiting with family and friends and mostly helping others. To most people he was known as PawPaw.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Lola Jane and mother Hazel. He is survived by son, Jerry, Jr. of Grand Prairie; daughter, Sherri of Georgetown; 3 grandchildren, Julie and Jesse Bryant of Georgetown; David and Jessica George of Irving and Christi and Lucas Buxton of Georgetown. In addition he is survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Hailey, Joey, and Emma George, Cooper and Avery Bryant.
