

Jerry Don Fuller of Jarrell, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, in Round Rock at St. David’s Hospital. Born August 31, 1955, in Georgetown TX, Jerry was the son of Vernon L Fuller Sr. and Pharis Smith Fuller.
Jerry was a 1973 graduate of Georgetown High School. Following graduation, he was employed with the Austin State Hospital, where he retired as a warehouse manager after 28 years of service. After retiring, Jerry spent 9 years driving a school bus for Jarrell Independent School District.
Jerry was an avid sports fan. He spent the last 42 years supporting the University of Texas baseball team. He held season tickets and enjoyed pregame activities with many friends. He was able to attend several College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, which was always the highlight of victorious seasons. He had a heart for Jarrell students and the community, and was a big fan of Jarrell athletics. He volunteered by working the gate at basketball tournaments and running the 40 second clock at home football games. His children and grandchildren were the pride of his life.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents George Aaron Smith and Ethel Mercer Smith, and his paternal grandparents Alva Ray Fuller and Susie Harrison Fuller.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Celia Kennedy Fuller; his children, Sonya White and husband Clay, Aaron Fuller and wife Macy, Raina Sheferaw and husband Abiy; and his grandchildren, Mason White, Garrett White, Kyndall White, Brooks Fuller, Brady Fuller, Brett Fuller, Gabriel Sheferaw and Noah Sheferaw. He is also survived by his twin brother, Vernon L Fuller, Jr. and son Trey Fuller. Vernon was his closest friend and encourager. Vernon was a true godsend, especially during his final illness. He was the best big brother.
Jerry had a heart for children and was a faithful contributor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude’s.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, beginning at 10 am.
