

Jimmie was a very much loved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He valued family and hard work. Jimmie owned a painting business for 15 years, and then worked for TxDOT for 29 years before retiring at age 65. Jimmie enjoyed his first 15 years of retirement by working for Round Rock ISD as a bus driver. At the age of 80, Jimmie retired for good.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Raymond (Skip) Sibert; and his first love, Lillian Sibert (Dodson).
Jimmie is survived by his wife of 23 years, Margie Sibert of Hutto; his sister, Frances Stiba of Taylor; his sons, Gary (Debbie) Sibert of Corpus Christi, and Greg (Julie) Sibert of Georgetown; his daughter, Teresa Smith (Johnny Merillat) of Dunedin, FL; his step-daughter, Christie (Ronny) Weems of Liberty Hill; and his step-son, Jeff (Jima) Dungan of Liberty Hill. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He loved his dog Buster who was his constant companion.
A graveside service for immediate family will be held Monday, November 1, 2021, 11:00 AM at Corn Hill Cemetery, 554-798 Hugh Smith Lane, off of County Road 313, Jarrell, Texas 76537. Friends and family are invited to gather after the service at 1:00 PM to celebrate Jimmie’s life. The gathering will be at Faith Baptist Church, located at 3625 Gattis School Road, Round Rock, Texas 78664.
