

Lillian R. Jewell, age 87, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was born on February 7, 1927, in Kansas City, Kansas, to parents Fred and Mary (Crum) Turner. Mrs. Jewell graduated from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas and devoted her life to raising her children. She was also known for her exquisite needlework.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, R.L. Jewell.
She is survived by daughters, Marilyn Hamilton and husband Kirk of Georgetown, Texas and Debbie Sitz and husband Garry of Liberty Hill, Texas; sons, Larry Jewell and wife Maribeth of Urbandale, Iowa, and David Jewell and wife Gertrude of Chesapeake, Virginia; grandchildren, Jeff Hempel and wife Shannon of Cedar Park, Texas, Tami Hamilton of Irving, Texas, Brent Hamilton of New York City, New York, Leslie Sitz and fiance Chris Rodriguez of Florence, Texas, Woody Sitz and wife Jori of Round Rock, Texas, Michelle Lang and husband Phil of Wausau, Wisconsin, Melissa Jewell of Wausau, Wisconsin, Jenna Jewell of Lexington, Kentucky, and Reid Jewell of Urbandale, Iowa; and five great grandchildren, Taylor and Nicholas Hempel of Leander, Texas, Kristian Lang of Wausau, Wisconsin, Sutton Sitz of Round Rock, Texas and Peyton Flowers of Irving, Texas.
A private family visitation and services were held on Monday, June 16, 2014, at the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Jewell’s honor to the American Lung Association or the charity of your choice.
