Lois Brooks, age 89, of Georgetown, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. She was born on September 28, 1931 in Brenham, Texas to her loving parents Arthur L. Schroeder & Lillie Harms. Lois was the youngest of three children. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Rev. Theo R. Streng. Lois married Glenn Brooks on June 30, 1950 at Zion Lutheran Church in Houston. She raised three children, Forrest, Lesley and Daniel. She retired from the IRS in 1991 after 15 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 71 years, Glenn Brooks and her son Forrest Brooks and brothers Art and Bert Schroeder.
She is survived by her daughter Lesley Otero; son-in-law Ruben Otero of Raynham, Massachusetts; son Dan Brooks of Georgetown; daughter-in-law Brenda Brooks of Georgetown; granddaughters Sarah and Staci Brooks, both of Georgetown, granddaughters Kristina Otero of Los Angeles, California and Kim Otero of Raynham, Massachusetts.
A visitation for Lois will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628. A graveside service will occur Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
