

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, (Lowell's 65th birthday) with Pastor Jim Boatright of Liberty Lighthouse Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Lowell was born on November 12, 1951, in Austin, Texas, to Norvin Edward Mayes and Evelyn Johanna Munson Mayes and his brother, Mallory (Debi) who survives him.
Lowell went to McCallum High School where he developed many long lasting friendships that have survived to this day. He went to college at the University of Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
He married Janice Gayle Sughrue on June 28, 1974. They had two sons, Christopher Adrian (Amanda Fritchse) and Walter Benjamin (Becki). After they divorced, he married Daisy Leone Ray Tumlinson on September 13,1987, and she brought to the union Scott Dewayne Tumlinson (April) and Leon Shane Tumlinson (Michelle).
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents, Norvin and Evelyn Mayes. Also, Lowell is survived by his wife, Daisy, children, Christopher Adrian (Amanda) and Walter Benjamin (Becki). Two stepson, Scott D. Tumlinson (April) and Leon S. Tumlinson (Michelle). His grandchildren are Devon Dean, Adrianna Mayes, Emma Mayes, Emily Tumlinson, Josiah Mayes, and Jilli Durst.
Pallbearers will be Lowell's lifelong friends and fishing buddies, Rondel Culbertson, Melvin Felfe, Myron Smith, Brandon Smith, Bill Parsons, and Matt Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lowell's beloved nephew, Brian Palmer of Maryville, Missouri, Steve Avery of Leander, Texas, and although deceased, Paul and Bob Palmer of Maryville and Ravenwood, Missouri.
We wish to extend our thanks to Texas Oncology, New Century Hospice Care, Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, and to all of those in attendance at his visitation and funeral. May God Bless you all.
