Lucy Marie Feldman was born on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 4:28 pm at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Lucy Marie was born early at 32 weeks of gestation at 15 inches and 2 lbs 11 oz. Lucy spent her entire life in the NICU suffering from several medical issues including: Trisomy 18, severe cardiac complications, Esophageal Atresia, premature lungs, and other minor issues. Lucy was able survive and fight for 44 days in the NICU.
Lucy Marie leaves behind a loving family, including her parents: Robert and Nicole Feldman, siblings: Emily, Olivia, John and Sarah, and grandparents: Bob and JoAnn Feldman along with Paul and MaryLee Bluntzer.
She was a feisty fighter willing to battle these terminal conditions to allow her family to spend time with her. Lucy’s condition was too severe and too terminal to have any lifesaving treatment. Her parents spent every day holding her and loving her.
Lucy was baptized in the NICU by Father Sam Bass on the night of her birth. Her Godparents, Brian and Jackie Horton, were present to help welcome her into this world and God’s family. She took the confirmation Saint of St. Bernadette of Lourdes on February 13 as Father Sam performed this rite in our hospital room in front of her parents.
Lucy passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the arms of her parents at Dell Children’s Medical Center chapel. She left this earth in the presence of Jesus in front of the tabernacle within the chapel. Her journey was quick, painless, and supported by love.
The Feldman family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, support, and prayers for Lucy throughout her entire earthly journey, both in the womb and after birth. We would like to ask our family and friends to help lay Lucy Marie to rest.
