Mary Ann Miller Sydow

Mary Ann Sydow, 76 of Georgetown, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2010 after a courageous battle with several health issues. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown. A funeral service celebrating Mary Ann’s life and her faith will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 3:00PM at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Mary Ann was born, October 4, 1933 in Walburg, to the late Martin and Lydia Vogler Miller. She graduated from Georgetown High School. Mary Ann has been a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Mary Ann worked for many years as a Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant for the City of Georgetown, Westinghouse, Southwestern University and finally The State of Texas. Mary Ann’s passion was her family, she loved spending time with them and nurturing them. Mary Ann married Vernon Emil Sydow on May 4, 1979 in Walburg. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Melanie Ann Sydow. Mary Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 30 years, Vernon Sydow; her children, Michael Sydow, Lloyd Williams, Jr., Sidney Williams and his wife Gloria, Carlos Williams, and Sylvia Jo Carrigan and her husband Matthew; her grandchildren, Kristin Coleman and her husband Kevin, Michael David Sydow, Jr. and his wife Denise, Michael Wyatt Sydow, Lloyd Williams, III and his wife Kim, Levi Williams, Louis Williams, Ashtyn Williams, Amy Williams, Alan Williams, Ian Williams and his wife Jackie, Matthew Terrell and his wife Kim, Christopher Terrell; great grandchildren, Jac, Gabriel, Kylie, Courtney, Elora, Aiden, Andrew, Logan, McKenzie, Gabriella; brothers and sister, Louis Miller and his wife Gladys, Doris Ischy and her husband Edward, and Ray Miller and his wife Betty; along with many other loving family members and friends.
