

Mary Louise Parramore Bauer died on November 5, 2024, in Georgetown, Texas. She was 95. Born in Winters, Texas, to W.W. and Mildred Parramore, she attended Winters Public Schools and Trinity University.
She married Richard J. Bauer, July 30, 1956. Following their marriage, they returned to Winters, where she taught English, Speech, and Drama at Winters High School. She and Richard were in the ranching business for many years. After his death, she briefly returned to teaching in Cotulla, Texas. Upon her retirement, she moved to Georgetown to be near her daughter and family.
Mary Enjoyed playing golf and made many new friends through the Women’s Golf Association at Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin. She also liked traveling, home projects, cooking, and storytelling about her childhood on the ranch and her teaching days. She never met a stranger and always had a great sense of humor. She was a force, who lived life to the fullest, on her own terms. She will be greatly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings. She is survived by daughter Mary K. Mjos (Douglas), grandchildren Amanda Peters (Doug), Allison Drake (Phillip), and Kevin Mjos (Hannah), four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by dear long-time friend, Bobbie Sue Sterling. The family would like to express sincere thanks to The Wesleyan and Tranquility Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
