Mary was a gentle, kind, caring person who cherished time with her family and friends. She lived in Sun City with her late husband, Jerry, for nearly twenty years. Mary loved nurturing people, birds and plants, and playing games -- especially Mah Jongg.
Mary is survived by her three children Ilene (Larry), Irwin (Pat), and Dana (Jonathan), six grandchildren Robin (Paul), Amy (David), Margo, Trevor, Jack and Alex, five great-grandchildren, one brother, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Mary was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She and Jerry lived in Commack, NY as well as various towns in Texas and Oregon before moving to Sun City. They were married for 66 years.
Mary's incredibly positive attitude helped immensely in her battle with cancer and other health issues in her final years. Her family is grateful to the many medical professionals and caregivers who helped and supported her during these difficult times.
A graveside service was held December 23rd at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen where Mary was laid to rest with Jerry.
