Nancy Daw

Nancy Rose Daw (nee Von Hitritz) was born March 23, 1933 in Albany, NY, the daughter of Stephen and Margaret (Fitzsimmons) Von Hitritz. She passed from this life March 21, 2021 in Cedar Park, TX at the age of 87. Nancy loved to sew, quilt, read and do crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed camping, hiking and singing. Her greatest accomplishment was as a mother, raising healthy and happy children. Nancy once owned the Pumpkin Patch Nursery School, later worked as a librarian at an elementary school, and after her retirement, she continued helping children learn to read. She also gave back by spending time with Alzheimer patients and volunteering time at The Worship Place, where she was a member. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Von Hitritz, her mother, Margaret Rose Fitzsimmons; her sister, Dale Bishop; and her husband, Harry Daw, Jr. She will be greatly missed by her children, Tim Mahoney (Denise) of New Hartford, NY; Margaret O'Brien, Linda O'Brien Ziemann (Robert) and Judy O'Brien (Jody) all of Leander, TX; David O'Brien (Linda) of Sterling, VA; Matthew O'Brien (Paige) of Gilbert, Arizona; Douglas O'Brien of Rockwall, TX; Kathleen Foster (Robert) of Manchaca TX; her brother Stephen Von Hitritz of Quinton, VA; 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, with more on the way. Nancy will be remembered for being artistic, caring, nurturing, a good friend and a wonderful mother. Funeral services will be Friday, March 26th, 2021 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Interment at Bagdad Cemetery, Leander, TX
