After graduating from Clovis High School, Pat attended Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri, Eastern New Mexico University, and the University of New Mexico. Pat was a gifted musician and taught piano many times throughout her life. Pat is survived by her adoring husband of 63 years, Bill Lucas, Georgetown, Texas; her brother and sister-in-law George and Joy Prothro; son and daughter-in-law Bill and Laura Lucas, Austin, Texas; daughter-in-law Freda Lucas, Granddaughters Sherri Gilmour and Terri Haydel, great-granddaughters Casey Gilmour and Gini Haydel each of Hot Springs, Arkansas; granddaughter Jennifer Hayden and great-grandson Billy Hayden Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. After living most of her life in New Mexico, Pat moved to Georgetown in 2000 and quickly became a very active member of First United Methodist Church. She was active in PEO, and Georgetown’s Newcomers and Friends. Pat will be remembered as an incredibly loving, generous lady who had tremendous faith and was a great blessing to all who knew her. That generous spirit manifested itself in many ways including volunteer work with Meals on Wheels and Caregivers. A private celebration of her life took place at Georgetown First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be directed to the organ fund at First United Methodist or the charity of your choice.
