Mrs. Brizendine died Nov. 4, 2015, peacefully in Georgetown. She was born August 16, 1929, in Temple to Leslie and Kathleen Wooley.
She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. Over the years, she was not just a teacher and a homemaker, but an accomplished artist, as well. She was known for her landscape paintings and won awards for her work.
Mrs. Brizendine was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Maron “Red” Brizendine by 33 days. Red passed on October 1, 2015.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Amburn and her husband, Dan, of Florence; grandson, Andy Amburn and his wife, Donna, of Florence; granddaughter, Tia Amburn, of Pflugerville; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
