

Mr. Black was born in Jarrell, Texas, on February 4, 1938. He served in the United States Air Force from March 19, 1957, to March 17, 1961, and was honorably discharged.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Lawrence Black and Bessie Mae Roe, and his wife Lillian Frances Black.
Survivors include cousins, Patsy and J.W. Raby, James and Jeanne Blackwell, John Black, and Aunt Bobbie Black. Mr. Black is also survived by stepchildren Barbara and Charlie Brown of Round Rock, Texas, Stewart and Sandy Wusterhausen of Rosenberg, Texas, Ronnie Wusterhausen of Beasley, Texas, Ted and Tracy Wusterhausen of Texas City, Texas, Charles and Tina Wusterhausen of Houston, Texas. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jennifer, Josh, Jeremy, Madison, Shelby, Braden, Andrew and Hannah Grace; and great-grandchildren Rylann, Avery, and Noah.
He was a Dad that didn’t have to be, but was.

A Reception will be held from 12:00 p.m to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78628 and the graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Corn Hill Cemetery in Jarrell, Texas.
