Robbie was born in Fayetteville, AR on 8/20/1936 as the first child of Harry E. and Roberta Lewis Jaquysh. After spending much of her youth in Memphis, she relocated to the Austin area where she was a graduate of Austin High School, Brackenridge Hospital School of Nursing and Blinn College.
As the wife of a career officer in the US Army, Robbie lived in several locations throughout the United States and Germany where she became an intrepid traveler of Europe during the Cold War. Through her 30 year nursing career, she worked as both an ER and Labor and Delivery nurse. Of note, on August 1, 1966, as an ER nurse she was a first responder for victims of the UT sniper shooting. Her passion, however, was Labor and Delivery sharing in the joy of new families created and supporting those who needed her in their time of loss. Not one to sit still, post retirement, she partnered with her sister in an entrepreneurial venture running a local video rental business in Georgetown, TX.
In addition to being a loving wife, patient mother, and loyal friend, Robbie was an avid gardener with the greenest of thumbs. She spent countless hours in her greenhouse creating her own hybrid roses. She was also an avid crafter (sewing, needlepoint, decoupage, etc).
Robbie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Laurence Eugene Linden, her children Larry (wife Laurie) Linden, Greg (wife Lori) Linden, Jennifer (husband George) Muller, her grandchildren Devin Muller, Erin (husband Nick) Peters, Conor Muller, her great grandchildren Declan Peters, Lincoln Peters, Nolan Saylor her sister Melanie (husband James) Perez and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Larry Elgin “Butch” Jaquysh.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Cross and Crown Lutheran Church, 3800 Shell Road, Georgetown, Texas.
