Bob loved to talk of his high school days carrying a paper route and then working for the local A&P grocery. Following high school graduation, he worked in industry several years before completing his B.S. and M.S. at the University of North Texas. After teaching Industrial Arts for several years, he was hired in 1958 in Dallas Schools as the first male school counselor. He offered counseling at several sites in Dallas and Farmers Branch-Carrollton ISD retiring with 33 years. After his retirement, Bob used his skills in several endeavors and always liked driving “Miss Daisy” as he and Carolyn attended many professional counseling conferences. He and Carolyn loved traveling to many sites often with friends or the new friends they would make on their excursions.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions can be made to the Robert and Carolyn Educational Endowment Fund at the Texas Counseling Association, Austin, Texas.
