Robert Jamison Rowe Sr.

Robert (Bob) Rowe, Sr., age 91, of Georgetown, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday evening November 30, 2015. Bob was born December 17, 1923 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania to Charles and Amelia (Phuntek) Rowe. He graduated from Sharon Hill High School (Pennsylvania) in 1941 where he was a member of the basketball team. After high school, Bob enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the USS Fieberling in the South Pacific. Bob meet his wife of 60 years, Mary Lou Collins, his senior year of high school. They were married in 1948. Family was important to Bob and Mary Lou, as both sides of the family were a part of holiday celebrations, family events and BBQ's.

Most of Bob's career was spent working for Westinghouse. In 1972, he and his family moved to Georgetown, Texas for him to work at the new Westinghouse plant in Round Rock, Texas. Bob worked there as a supervisor and then mechanical engineer until he retired in 1987. The move to Texas triggered his love of golf. He was an avid golfer and was proud of the many times he was able to "shoot his age". Bob enjoyed summer vacations at the beach, trips to the casinos, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Bob is predeceased by his loving wife Mary Lou, both his parents, his three brothers and one sister. He is survived by son, Bob Rowe Jr. and wife Judy of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Peggy Rowe and husband Michael Moore of Media, Pennsylvania; son, Richard and wife Leah of Georgetown, Texas; daughter, Mary Lou McDaniel and husband Eric of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, Megan Rowe, Robert Rowe III, Kiel McDaniel, Christopher Moore, Erica McDaniel, Ian McDaniel, Jacqueline Rowe and Jessica Rowe; and great grandchildren, Zane, Reagan, Kaylee, and Madison.

A private burial will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery in Georgetown, Texas.
