

Rosemary Suggie Kingsbury passed away December 22, 2012 in Georgetown, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, Texas. A memorial service celebrating Rosemary’s life and her faith will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 1:30 PM in the chapel at The Wesleyan Nursing Home, 2001 Scenic Drive, Georgetown, Texas 78626. Interment will be held privately at IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown. Rosemary was born September 13, 1924 in Georgetown, Texas to Fred W. and Almeda Queen Millholin. Learning how to dance and play the piano from her mother at an early age, she kept it apart of her life. She was a past member of the Dance Masters of America. Rosemary attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, where achieved her Bachelor’s degree. She went on to work on her Post-Graduate studies at The University of Texas. While studying at UT, Rosemary worked as a Night Supervisor in the girl’s dormitory. She graduated from UT with her Master’s degree in Supervisor Studies. Rosemary had an accomplished career in Education and Administration, serving the minds of children and young adults for over 25 years. She was listed in the 1948 edition of “Who’s Who Among National Teachers”. Rosemary worked for about 16 years for the Austin ISD; where she was an Instructional Coordinator for about 48 Elementary Schools in Physical Education Departments. Rosemary also went back to her alma mater, Southwestern University, to work for about 5 years as an Assistant Professor of Physical Education to the Head of Women’s Physical Education. Rosemary worked at UT as a professor and in school administration retiring from the University of Texas in early 1980. Rosemary was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church in Austin, where she served as the Pastor’s committee secretary and helped with youth square dancing. Rosemary was very involved in her community serving President of New Chapter Delta Kappa Gamma in Austin, a member of Eastern Star in Georgetown and Life member NEA sorority Delta Zeta, past member of the Georgetown Music Club, the Georgetown Country Club and the Texas Association of Physical Education Teachers. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred W. and Almeda Queen Millholin and sons twin boys, Terry and Jerry Kingsbury.
