

Samuel Milton Anderson III died on September 2, 2017 in Georgetown, Tex. from liver failure. Sam was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. on July 26, 1955, to Samuel Milton “Mickie” Anderson and Marjorie Anne “Bogie” Anderson. He was the grandson of long-time Oklahoma City residents Alvin William and Pearl Bogenschutz, and Samuel Milton and B.F. Anderson of Wichita, Kan. He attended Nichols Hills Elementary and Casady School. He moved with his family to Denver, Colo. and Newport Beach, Calif. before returning to Oklahoma for his college years. Sam was active as a youth in the All Soul’s Episcopal Church choir, participated in soccer, and loved animals. He was a skilled musician, playing the piano, mandolin, banjo, and guitar, enjoyed woodworking and gardening, and was an enthusiastic reader. As many knew, he struggled against drug and alcohol addiction for years. His family and friends remember his sense of humor, enjoyment of music, and his devotion to his pets.He is survived by his three sisters: Cindy Cochran of Denton, Neb., Janee Bridges of Reeds, Mo., and Mary Milt Ford of Colleyville, Tex. Services will be private. The family requests that any donations in his memory be sent to Faith Lutheran Church, 4010 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX, 78628, or the charity of your choice.
