

Tom was born in December of 1954 in Galesburg, Illinois to James Colwell and Joyce Bryant. He attended ROVA high school. He married Linda Shea on May 4th, 1974. After moving to Georgetown, TX, Tom worked at Boufford Transfer for over 30 years, and also began his business, Tom’s Lawn Care. Over the years, the couple welcomed 3 children into their home, 5 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Tom is survived by his wife, Linda Colwell of Georgetown, TX; Daughter, Ann Lindsey and husband Ricky of Salado; Daughter Debbie Harville and husband Chris of Georgetown; Son Jim Colwell and wife Lisa of Georgetown. Grandchildren; Stephanie Krupp and husband Tyler of Killeen, Tommie Harville, Taylor Colwell, Rachel Harville, and Amber Colwell. And a Great-Grandson, Chase “little buddy” Anderson. Siblings, Mary Colwell and husband Denny Diefendorf of Hopedale, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by his mother Joyce Bryant; Father James Colwell; Brother Joe Colwell, and sister, Lynn Palmer.
He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with family. He was passionate about spending time with his grandkids and great-grandson. A lot of memories were made and left behind from family, friends, and extended family.
A Celebration of life is scheduled for June 18th, 2016 at “The Dog House” at 425 Private Road 914, Georgetown, TX. Starting at 5pm, food served at 6pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tom’s life, as there will not be a funeral /services due to his wishes.
