

Thomas "Tom" Edwin Marx passed from this life on October 14th, 2018, at the age of 60. Tom resided in Georgetown, Texas at the time of his passing, with wife Melinda Marx.Tom was born on October 21st, 1957, to Sol 'Bud' and Nadia 'Gayle' Marx, in Dallas, Texas. During his childhood, Tom moved from Dallas to Phoenix, Arizona, with his parents and six siblings. Upon graduation from Trevor Brown High School, Tom attended the University of Arizona, where he played football and earned a degree in Engineering. Tom married Barb Marx on December 16th, 1978, in Tucson, Arizona. Shortly thereafter, they welcomed three children: Michelle, Michael, and Melissa. Tom raised his family in Tucson, Arizona, and moved to Georgetown, Texas in 1998On April 28th, 2005, Tom married Melinda Marx, while residing in Georgetown surrounded by close friends and family.Over the course of his career, Tom focused his intellect in the industry of military avionics with Hughes Aircraft, Raytheon, Tyco, and TTM. In 2013, alongside his son, Mike, and business partner Terrance Sullivan, founded the automation and electrical firm, TMT Solutions. Tom held the title Vice President of Engineering in the family business until his passing.Tom was preceded in death by his father, Bud Marx, and mother, Nadia Marx, as well as brothers Billy and James Marx.Tom is survived by his wife, Melinda Marx, children: Michelle Marx, Michael Marx and wife Kelli, Melissa Buchanan and husband Brett. He is also survived by grandchildren: Hayden Marx, Ansley Buchanan, Brooklyn Marx, and Keaton Marx, along with siblings Patricia Shepherd, Carol Barlow, Bobby Marx, and Cynthia Baird.Friends and family will celebrate Tom's life on Friday, October 19th, 2018 at 2pm, at The Gabriel's Funeral Home, located at 393 N. IH-35, Georgetown, TX, 78627. Following the memorial service, the Marx family welcomes all to join together at Walburg German Restaurant, which resides at 3777 FM 972, Walburg, TX, 78673.
