Wallace Eugene Newton

Wallace Eugene Newton, 76, a resident of Greenville, AL passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 from the Johnson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Allen Stephenson officiating. Burial in Damascus Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, AL directing arrangements. Wallace was currently Pastor of Springhill Baptist Church where he has served for 20 years. Before Springhill Baptist Church he was Pastor at several other churches. Wallace served in the Marine Corps during the late 1950's and early 1960's. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Newton and Eva Reynolds Newton Daughtery. Survivors include: Sister: Ann Taylor, Greenville, AL; Brothers: Bill Newton, Honoraville, AL and Pete Newton, Greenville, AL. Wallace is also survived by a number of Nieces and Nephews.
