Esther Rundell

Esther Rundell, 93 formerly of Gering, Nebraska died Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Community of Christ Church in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. Private Burial in Gering, Nebraska. Esther was born on October 23, 1915 in Ripley, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school she married Valden Rundell on February 19, 1933 in Banner County, Nebraska. The couple lived and farmed around the Gering, Nebraska area most of their lives. They had been married 66 years when he preceded her in death. Esther had been a lifelong member of the Community of Christ Church formerly known as The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had lived in the Amarillo area for the past 8 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Valden Rundell, a son, Jerry Rundell, a daughter, MarJean Rohrs, two sisters, and three brothers. Survivors include: son-in-law Gary Rohrs of Amarillo, a grand daughter Brenda Rohrs of Amarillo, two grandsons Kent Rohrs and his wife Kristi of Amarillo and Mickey Barthel and wife Cheryl of Memphis, TN. Also by four great grandchildren.
