

Born Oct. 31, 1948 she was the daughter of Norma Agnes Barrett (Kelloway) who died 1951. And her parents Wilfred and Margaret Barrett (Blake) who died in 2005. After high school graduation she attended McGill University persued a career in science labratory research work which had taken her to Onatrio, Northern Canada and Alberta.
She was an active member of the Glace Bay and surrounding communities volunteering when needed. Annabelle was so proud to have a wide circle of sisterhood friends and neighbours.
Everyone who had the privilege of knowing her will have had the joy of her wisdom, humour and genuine care.
Surviving are her loving husband Elmer McIntosh; son Sean Doucette (Brandy) and darling grandchildren, Shae Joanne and Ada Summer Doucette, Calgary Alberta; stepdaughter, Julie McIntosh Florence NS; stepson Jodi (Rhonda) McIntosh Calgary Alberta; sister Linda (Herman) Seiker Lamont, Alta; brother Gary Barrtett Norway; sister Donna (George) Burnett, Glace Bay; sister, Kim (Earl) MacQuarrie Truro; cherished aunt Mary (Fred) Wendell, Calgary, Alberta; along with many nieces and nephews in addition to “special sisters” Chrissie (Aubery) Spencer, Riverview NB, and Jackie McIntosh (Jim) Kauftel, Dartmouth.
Besides her mother and her parents she was predeceased by brother Derrick (1995) and grandparents Kelloway and Barrett.
Visitation will be held at Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay on Saturday April 18, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Patten Funeral Home Chapel. Officiated by Rev. John Finlayson.
Interment Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
