

Age 69, died suddenly, at her home in Port Caledonia on Tuesday March 7, 2023. Arlene was born August 25,1953 to the late Joseph (Dody) and Eunice MacKinnon (Glace Bay). Arlene is survived and dearly missed by her loving husband, Wayne Wadden; two step children, Tanya (Mark) St. Catharines and Chris (Stacey) Ingersoll; three grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica), Ellysa and Ryleigh; her brother, Wayne (Sharon) Ottawa; sister, Shirley Livingston, Glace Bay; and her three nieces and a nephew, who she loved and was so proud of, Allison (Greg), Amy (Marc), Brad (Heather) and Carrie. Arlene worked as a CNA at the Glace Bay Community Hospital for many years. She loved being a nurse, however, she tragically sustained a life altering back injury reporting for work. Although she would never nurse again she continued on in her role as a wonderful selfless caregiver to her family and friends until the day of her passing. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home Glace Bay. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
