Mr Thomas Alexander McNeil

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Mary, son, Thomas and daughter in law, Roseanne, both of Calgary, daughter, Katherine, Glace Bay and his 6 grandchildren, Ivy, GT (George Thomas), Chloe, Marie, Christopher, Devon and Lincoln. Tom also leaves behind his brothers; John, Francie, Mickey, Billy, Anthony, Darrell and sisters; Tina, Donna, Mary and Toni.

Tom was predeceased by his mother, Margarot Carson (McWhirter) McNeil, his father, Daniel Francis McNeil, brothers; George, Dan Archie, Donnie, Robert, Jimmy and sisters; Peggy, Mary Evarista, Debbie and Mazie.

Tom’s favorite place was home spending quality time with his grandchildren and family. He liked to go fishing and do fly tying which he did for his many friends. His love for God enabled him to donate his organs and skin so that many people could benefit and have a better life. His Mom always said ‘ Your heart is as big as a mountain”. Tom, We will always love you and we will miss your big smile and your tender heart.

Visitation for Tom will take place at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union Street, Glace Bay on Monday, May 30, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Main Street, Reserve with Fr. Dan Boudreau officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family/St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery, Glace Bay.
