

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Tyler (Happs) John Cooke on Wednesday, April 20,2011 at his family home. Tyler was living in Sydney at the time. Born on June 2,1984, he was the son of William and Sandra (Boutilier) Cooke.
Tyler attended Donkin Elementary and Glace Bay High School. Tyler was a hard working individual in such fields as landscaping, and seismic testing.
Tyler loved the outdoors and enjoyed long walks along the beach with his best friend his dog (Goldie), he also enjoyed sports especially hockey of which he played for many years. Tyler was famous for his gleaming smile and his desire to help anyone although he struggled many years with mental illness himself.
Tyler was also a volunteer with the Donkin Volunteer Fire Department and a grateful member of the AA program.
Tyler is survived by his parents and brother Billy (Sherri) Lower Sackville and his sister Angela (David) Glace Bay, grand-father Duart Cooke Donkin; nephews, David, Shayne and Brycen; niece Shaylee that held a dear place in his heart; best friend Daryl Madden and also many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Predeceased by grand-parents Francis&Gordon Boutilier and grand-mother Viola Cooke.
There will be a family visitation only in Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union st, Glace Bay. Funeral celebration of his life will be celebrated Monday April 25,2011 11am in the Church of Christ The King Trinity ave, Sydney, N.S. with Rev Laura McCue
