

We the family of William Allan MacIntosh announce his passing on January 11, at Harbourstone enchance care facility he was 88 years old. Born in Port Morien he was the son of the late Ruben & Cora (Murrant) MacIntosh.
He own and operated a garage in Port Morien , work in the coal mines for 20 years also worked for Dept. of Transportation until he retired.
William was a member St. John’s United Church in Port Morien, he was a member of Morien Aces Hockey league with players from surrounding area. William was also owner ,trainer, patrol judge and was inducted into the Horse racing hall of fame. also enjoyed hunting and fishing
Surviving are his wife and best bud Florence Andrews, daughter Jeanie(late Warren) Boutilier, Calgary,son Rodney (Ellen) MacIntosh, Halifax, sisters Eleanor (late George ) MacDonald,Port Morien, Hazel (Cam) Reid, Halifax, sister in law Jean MacPherson , Grandchildren Rodney MacIntosh, Brent Boutilier,Will Boutilier, Andrew Boutlier, Ken MacIntosh granddaughter Audrey Malley. Great grandchildren Dez Boutilier, Morgan MacIntosh, Courtney Malley, Brayden Malley,Marlee MacIntosh, Ally Boutilier, Logan Boutilier, Jack Boutiler, Katherine Boutilier. Great great grandson Marcus Bushey, also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place visitation for William Allan MacIntosh will take place today Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Patten funeral home 71 Union street Glace Bay. Memorial service will take place Tuesday January 15, in Patten funeral home chapel at 11am with Rev. Chris Matheson officiating with burial in Black Brook cemetery . Donation may be made to Heart & Stroke Diabetes society or a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the staff of MacDougall court for the care that they provided for William.
