

Born In Glace Bay Al was the son of the late William and Rite (Miller).
Al is survived by his wife Judy (Clarke) Parsons, his daughters Joanne (Paul) Ducey and Allison (John) Brown. He is also survived by five step-children: Patsy Clarke, Wanda (Mike) Strong, Judy (Peter) Skinner, Bill Clarke and Stan Clarke, four grandchildren Holly, Stephen, Alyssa and Jonathan, 12 step grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and sisters Kay (Robert) Burns, Mildred MacIntyre.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Marilyn (Roberts)Parsons, sister Sylvia and brother Henry.
Al moved to Ontario as a young man and retired back to Cape Breton after his retirement from Stelco Steel. Al enjoyed fishing, bowling, horseshoes and played guitar in a local band most of his adult life while living in Ontario.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Service will take place at Patten Funeral Chapel, 71 Union St Glace Bay on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2pm with Rev. Reid officiating.
