Born August 13, 1941 in Kansas City Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Tiemann and is survived by her mother, Ruth Tiemann.
She is also survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerald (Jerry) Norwat; a son, Brandon and wife, Casey, of Austin, TX; daughter, Rebecca Ann Maine and husband, David, of Kewaskum, Wisconsin; one granddaughter, Bailey Noakes; five grandsons, Trenten, Carter, Colby, Trevor and Carson; brothers, Larry (wife Louise) and Melvin; and sister, Sharon Mahoney, as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Barbara doted on her children and grandchildren and provided loving support to her mother of 98 years. Her hobbies included genealogy, organizing AT&T Pioneer outings, and dabbling in technology. Previously she was active in a Red Hat group and was the director of the choir at her church for many years.
She worked for AT&T as a manager and, after retirement, worked as head of the computer lab at Liberty High School.
She will be missed by several family and friends who will mourn her death, but will also celebrate her life.
