Bettye Lou Hadley (Mayfield) 87, passed away August 7, 2015 at Excelsior Springs Nursing & Rehab. She was born January 8, 1928 in Nelson, MO. She was preceeded in death by her father, mother, 1 sister and 2 brothers. She is survived by her only child Kristi Daleen Shewell and son-in-law, Shaun, four grandchildren Katherine Marie Souders and husband Garret, David Matthew Shewell and wife Samantha, Brian Patrick Shewell, Keegan Michael Shewell, five great-granddaughters, Alayna Marie Shewell, Eleanor Rose Marie Souders, MaKenna Lavon Shewell, Charlotte Eloise Grace Souders, Amelia Jane Louise Souders, and many nieces and nephews. Her family was the most important thing in her life, as well as a few close lifelong friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to Excelsior Springs Community Theatre – Building Fund, 114 N. Marietta St, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024, where she loved watching her family perform in live theatre, are requested. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Memorial services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 12th at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. Visitation will be an hour prior.
