

Beverly J. Douglas, 93, of Kansas City, MO, touched the hand of the Lord on April 23, 2026. Beverly was born October 16, 1932, in Norborne, MO, to champion Hampshire sheep raiser Glen and Marion Armentrout. Upon graduation from Norborne High School, Bev moved to Kansas City, MO. On September 25, 1954, Beverly Armentrout married Garland Douglas from Smithville, MO, and they had 3 daughters.
Bev was blessed with big beautiful brown eyes that she passed on to her 3 daughters. In high school she was a majorette and cheerleader. As an adult, Bev was an enthusiastic homemaker, collector, decorator, and enjoyed crafting with friends. She fostered the value of a strong work ethic and a 4-year college degree for her 3 girls.
Her husband of 59 years, Garland Douglas, passed away in 2013. Survivors include 3 daughters, Terry Morrison (Neal), Connie Taylor, and Brenda Donohue (Michael); 6 grandchildren, Sam Timme (Mike), Jennifer Morrison (Pete), Katie Boyher (Mike), Stephen Taylor, Michael Donohue, and Patrick Donohue; 6 great-grandchildren, Taylor and Grayton Timme, Cole and Owen Boyher, and Winnie and Molly Sylvester.
Services are set for a 10 AM Visitation followed by a 11 AM Service on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Newcomers White Chapel Funeral Home.
