I am so sorry to hear this.  I went to school with Bob in Tallulah.  I was a little older than him, but we were such a close-knit school that everyone knew everyone.  Bob was such a good human being and everybody loved him.  I only wish that, as families, we had lived close enough that we could have visited.  I tried to keep up with him and his family through social media.  Hugs and prayers to his family as you deal with his loss.

“Uncle Bob” was a fixture in our family.   My parents always spoke highly of him and we are all appreciative of his help to get the family moved from the Philippines to the US. Without his help, it would have been impossible, says Dad. 

After I returned from Texas, I really got to know him better.  He was there for my father, comforting him when my mom passed.  A beautiful friendship between them lasting over 60 years.   The eulogies he delivered for both of my parents were just wonderful.  

Always a true gentleman, and  full of good fatherly advise,  I will miss him a lot.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Bob. He made a lasting impression on my life.  From Darrel’s time at VMI through retirement, Bob was an integral part of our family’s journey and success.  His leadership, kindness, and unwavering support brought strength and achievement to so many.

In recent years, I was grateful to reconnect with him through Facebook. It was so clear how deeply he loved his family and how strong and steady his faith remained.  He lived with purpose and grace, and he will be dearly missed.

Bob was never the kind of guy to ask you to do something he wouldn’t do himself. When VMI began promoting its first high-speed camera systems, Bob had a wild idea, buy a (very, very, very) used Winnebago and take the show on the road. This was not just any road show, this one featured his patented high-speed camera system mounted on top of the “Minnie Winnie,” with a customer couch set up inside and with an air-conditioned viewing area. At first, I figured it’d be just Virgil and me making the rounds. But Bob rolled up his sleeves and joined us, traveling across the country and setting up demos right by the railroad tracks. It might’ve seemed a little hokey at the time, but it worked. It got people talking. It got customers interested and it showed, once again, that Bob led from the front.

From the early days of Video Masters, Bob built something that wasn’t just smart and ahead of its time, it was built on respect. Respect for the customer, respect for the work, and respect for the people around him.

I still remember one of his favorite sayings when VMI was just getting started, “Say what you’re going to do and do what you say.”  That stuck with me, and I know it stuck with a lot of others too.
Bob was successful in business, but even more so in life. He gave far more than he ever took and left a mark that goes far beyond the company.  I feel lucky to have been his business partner and even luckier to have been his friend.

What started as a landlord tenant relationship turned into a great friendship, I knew Bob to be an honest, honorable businessman who lived his faith. Judy and I feel it was an honor to have known him.

I'll never forget the first fishing trip to Truman Lake Bob took me on. I still don't understand how he maneuvered the pontoon into so many tight spaces through the cedar trees to ensure the BEST fishing. We caught a lot of fish that day and had plenty of fish stories to tell. One of if not my most favorite day with the family. Just fishing and family! I loved his home-made ice cream. My favorite was good old vanilla but I think he was most proud of his chocolate banana. Speaking of food, the man could grill! I'll always remember his serious face when he using the grill. I'm laughing because he was so focused on his grilled meats that we knew better than to talk to him for fear of ruining the meal. :) The vacations he took us on over the years were unforgettable in so many ways. How could we forget the meticulously planned itineraries handed out beforehand with each person's initials highlighted and important events underlined in red. Bob was equally serious and mischievous. I always felt like I won the lottery if I could "pull one over" on him or make him laugh as he so often tricked me or the kids. I have missed that so many times over the years. His last trick he pulled on us was surprising us the first Christmas we moved across the ocean. I feel incredibly lucky to have spent time with him that year. That was the last time I saw him. I will always be grateful for the support and time he gave to us. Nothing will erase that. Without Bob, I wouldn't have my husband and the two greatest gifts life has given me. Thank you, RRC.

Bob, my brother, (in Christ and my brother in arms), you are an inspiration to me and so many others, thank you for having touched our hearts with your heart and your kindness. It was such a joy to have worked with you and to have made so many unforgetable memories. I love you like a brother, as a brother. Your kindness and joy has touched me deeply, I share most of the things you've shared with me. My unit members know of you and your influence in our jobs in PSYOP. I often reminded them of the LSS40s that you and your people supplied to us to take to war and were flawless, thank you.
I look forward to the day we meet again, but this time you, me, Dick, Adrian and Nick can all worship our great creator YHWH together. Until we meet again, my brother, enjoy your eternal life to the fullest.

We are very sad to hear of Bob's passing. He was a client and good friend and a very skilled professional. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathy is to his family and many friends.

Bob, thank God for putting us together. We go back a long way dear friend. I will never be able to express what you have meant to me over the years. You have been such a blessing to me.  We love you & will sorely miss you.
