

Robert “Bob” Rahlyn Cleveland, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away at his home in Kansas City, MO on Sunday, September 28th, 2025. Bob was a Godly man who was passionate about his faith and family. He lived life sharing his love for music, dancing, fishing, hunting, chocolate labs, football, and skiing with his family and friends.
Bob was born to Thomas Chester Cleveland and Jennie Marie (Griffin) Cleveland on November 22, 1948 in Searcy, Arkansas. He was raised in Tallulah, LA and attended Tallulah High School. Bob studied at the University of Maryland and California State University, Fullerton.
Bob served in the United States Air Force from April 3rd, 1967 until April 4th 1974. He was stationed in Southeast Asia, earned the Meritorious Service medal for his efforts in Operation Homecoming and was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT E-5).
Bob was the founder and President of Video Masters, Inc (VMI) from 1976 until his retirement in 2013. Under his leadership, VMI was the recipient of 1987 SBA Prime Contractor of the Year. Once retired he was kept busy with family, travel, working with his tractor, and many other projects. He was also a proud member of the North Kansas City Businessman’s Breakfast Club for many years and was involved in various charitable and philanthropic works.
Bob is survived by his wife of 27 years, Glenna Cleveland of Kansas City, MO, four sons and three daughters: Michael (Aubri) Cleveland of Kaneohe, HI, Shelle (James Rens) Cleveland of Leawood, KS, Kenneth Eric (Ashley) Cleveland of Kansas City, MO, Courtney Knipp of Olathe, KS, Jason (Joanna) Ogan of Chapman, KS, Maxi Jo (Nick) Hammler of Lenexa, KS, and Rahlyn Tate Cleveland of Kansas City, MO and 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and three sisters Thomas (Shirley) Cleveland of Mountain View, AR, Barbara Mearing of Mountain Home, AR, Patricia (Bruce) Caldwell of Magnolia, TX and Sue (Jerry) Bunn of Searcy, AR, four nephews and one niece.
Bob is preceded in death by his father and mother.
Bob’s life will be celebrated by loved ones on Friday, October 17th, 2025 with a visitation starting at 10AM and the funeral service following immediately after at 11:30AM at White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone, MO.
