Brad was born on October 6th, 1961 in Newton, Kansas. He attended Oak Park High School in Gladstone, Missouri, until he joined the United States Navy in April 1979. Brad served four years and was honorably discharged in April of 1983. Brad worked for Ford in Claycomo, Missouri for 29 years when he retired in 2021. When he wasn't at work, he loved hanging out with his family, BBQ-ing, and being outdoors.
His loved ones remember him as a loving, humorous and upbeat spirit. Brad was an accomplished outdoorsman and loved to fish and golf. He will always be remembered as a patriot who loved his country.
He is preceded in death by his mother Karen Sue Guyer, maternal and paternal grandparents.
Brad is survived by his dad Wallace A Guyer, his siblings Michael Jeffrey Schmidt (Cheryl) and Kathy Rupprecht (Steve), his children Joshua Watson (Ashley), Nicholas Schmidt (Shannon), Benjamin Schmidt, Natalie Schmidt, Nicholas Nance (Kennedi), and his nine grandchildren.
A Visitation for Brad will be held on Wednesday May 24th, 2023 from 10am to 11am. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11am, immediately followed by a Committal Service with Military Honors all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery at 6600 NE Antioch Road. Gladstone, Missouri 64119. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brad's life.
