He was born January 29, 1940, in Kansas City, MO to Carl Nelson and Val (Costanzo) Neidig. Carl attended Glennon High School and Maple Woods Community College, before earning his BA from Park University and a Masters from the University of Central Missouri. He started working for the United States Postal Service when he was eighteen years old and worked there for thirty-four years and retired as a Field Director for Operations Support on November 20, 1992.
He loved spending time with his family. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and loved getting together for family celebrations and holidays.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Nelson Neidig Sr. and Val (Costanzo) Neidig; and his sister, Valerie Neidig.
Carl is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Maturo) Neidig of sixty four years; his sons, Carl Anthony and Anthony Gerard; daughters, Carol Marie Simcoe (Robert), Christine Anne Panarisi (Sam), and Anne Marie Vieth (Kevin); his grandchildren, Steven Siebel, Matthew Siebel, Frankie Panarisi, Anita Shippy (Brandon), Dominic Panarisi, Tommy Vieth, and Gracie Vieth; his great-grandson, Mason Siebel; and sister-in-laws, Jackie Sager (Chris) and Nancy Maturo; and many nieces and nephews.
