Carolyn was born April 19, 1951 to the late Frank J. and Anna (Mangiaracina) Ferrara. Carolyn was a devoted member of the Catholic faith throughout her life. Her deep faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she exemplified kindness, compassion, and a commitment to helping others. Carolyn found joy tending to her beautiful garden and was known for her exquisite holiday decorations that brightened her home and warmed the hearts of all who visited. She loved hosting family gatherings and celebrating holidays surrounded by her loved ones.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Saverio "Sonny" Salzano, the love of her life. They would have celebrated 51 years of marriage this coming June; her daughter Anna Salzano, her children Sophia and Collin Ferson; daughter and son-in-law Jasper and Jenny Cangelosi and their children Nicholas, Enza and Jasper; her sister Loretta Ferrara, and her sister and brother-in-law Bo and Johanna Dorcy; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Carolyn’s presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of faith, family, and love will continue to inspire and comfort us. Though she battled dementia and cancer, she faced these challenges with grace and strength.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 16, at St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a Funeral Mass following at 11 a.m.
