He was born October 24, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of William and Ila (Elliott) Donaldson. He graduated from North Kansas City High School with the Class of 1965.
Cary loved sports and had many hobbies, in particular, he loved baseball, he loved playing golf and building golf clubs, and he loved music. He played guitar and later built many beautiful guitars and ukeleles which he shared with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Sean.
Cary is survived by his son, Kelly Donaldson and his wife Jennifer of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren, Grace, Emma and Davis Donaldson, and extended family and friends.
A memorial graveside service for Cary will be held Friday, May 3rd, 2024 at 3:00 PM at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
