Donald was born on January 6, 1936 to Theodore Downes & Effie (Tayloe) Downes. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1954. Donald raised 4 boys, Ronald, Edward, Richard and Ted. He was an active and dedicated member of the Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir, he was also a volunteer for the Kansas City Community Blood Bank.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Mary, 2nd wife Barbara, granddaughter Kelly and great grandson Benjamin.
Donald is survived by his sons Ronald (Teresa), Edward (Salvador), Richard (Kimberley), and Ted. Grandchildren, Megan, Sean (Sara), Trishelle (Brad), and Halie, as well as 8 great grandchildren.
Donald will be laid to rest with his parents, in Owensville, Missouri.
