Donna was born on June 24, 1947, in Columbia, Missouri to James H. and Betty Jo (Poore) Forbis. She graduated from Hickman Mills High School, Kansas City, Missouri graduating in 1965. She would then attend the University of Missouri Kansas City for business and accounting. Donna worked for Black and Veach and later in the hospitality industry. She retired from Diagnostic Imaging Center as an administrative assistant.
On April 1, 1978, Donna married Tom Klocek in Gravois Mills at the Lake of the Ozarks. Donna loved being a mother to her four children, was an avid reader, and she enjoyed planning trips, as well as traveling around the world with her sister/brother-in-law, Cindy (Milton) Short. She was very active in the St. Charles Catholic Church and School, participating as a paraprofessional counselor for over 10 years.
Donna was preceded in death by parents; dear sister-in-law, Debbie Forbis.
She is survived by her husband, Tom; her children, Tom, Jr. (Kim) Klocek, Tamara (Brent) Prochazka, Joseph (Leah) Klocek, and Jamie Klocek; grandchildren, Brianna (Alex), Cody, Kelsey (Tyler), Ashley, Jenna, and Nathan; great grandchildren, Austin and Emmitt; siblings, Joy (Jim) Juhl and Terry Forbis, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society or local pet shelter.
The family would like to thank caregivers/hospital staff at North Kansas City Hospital, Dr. McWilliams, NorthCare Hospice House, and her cancer team and many specialists at University of Kansas Hospital and Cancer Center, in particular Dr Ernst and his fellow cancer team.
