

Born on March 14, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri, Duane was the beloved son of Julian Wesley Moore and Faye Emily Moore. He grew up in Kansas City, Arlington Heights of Chicago, and Longwood, Florida. He graduated from Lake Brantley High School in 1977.
Duane was known for his love of music, family, and adventure. He was dedicated to his service at Full Sail University, where he taught multiple courses in computer animation and tv production, and he was recently promoted to Course Director. He worked at Full Sail University for 28 years. Duane will be remembered for his love of family road trips, his mastery at the BBQ pit, his fiery spirit, and the unforgettable stories he told with heart and humor.
Duane is survived by his loving wife Jill Moore, his father Julian Moore, his stepmother Linda Moore, his sister Janet Harvey, brother in law Steve Harvey, his brother Clint Moore, sister in law Tonya Moore, his six children, Crystal Cornelius, Shane Moore, Jonathan Buttram, daughter in law Angela Buttram, Shaun Moore, Brittany Moore, Julian Moore, his five grandchildren, Jade Cornelius, Violet Cornelius, Jonathan Buttram Jr., Aaron Buttram, and Trenton Fry.
Duane was preceded in death by his mother Faye Emily Moore, Kimberly Jill Moore, and Aaron David Bentley.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2025 at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home, visitation from 10:00-11:00 am and the funeral service beginning at 11:00am. All who knew and loved Duane Moore are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
