Etta was born in New Holland, PA and moved to Missouri in 1973. She worked for several years and retired from Nazarene Publishing House. She was a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene. Her love for the Lord was evidenced by serving as a greeter, helping with VBS and she was a prayer warrior. She also volunteered at Love, Inc. Etta loved reading and family gatherings.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer M. Zimmerman; a grandson, Dervin Lee High; two great-grandsons, Cayden Godwin and Andrew Glick; five sisters and four brothers. Etta is survived by two daughters, Lois Ann High (Ed), Linda Martin (Doug); and a son, Terry Lee Zimmerman (Elizabeth); 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Ivan Martin and sister, Mary Martin, both of Pennsylvania.
Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m., Saturday, February 28 at New Hope Church of the Nazarene, 4330 N. Oak Tfwy, Kansas City, MO 64116. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, Missouri.
